Isaiah 46
46
1Bowed down hath Bel, stooping is Nebo, Their idols have been for the beast and for cattle, Your burdens are loaded, a burden to the weary.
2They have stooped, they have bowed together, They have not been able to deliver the burden, And themselves into captivity have gone.
3Hearken unto Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of Israel, Who are borne from the belly, Who are carried from the womb,
4Even to old age I [am] He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, yea, I carry and deliver.
5To whom do ye liken Me, and make equal? And compare Me, that we may be like?
6— They are pouring out gold from a bag, And silver on the beam they weigh, They hire a refiner, and he maketh it a god, They fall down, yea, they bow themselves.
7They lift him up on the shoulder, They carry him, and cause him to rest in his place, And he standeth, from his place he moveth not, Yea, one crieth unto him, and he answereth not, From his adversity he saveth him not.
8Remember this, and shew yourselves men, Turn [it] back, O transgressors, to the heart.
9Remember former things of old, For I [am] Mighty, and there is none else, God — and there is none like Me.
10Declaring from the beginning the latter end, And from of old that which hath not been done, Saying, ‘My counsel doth stand, And all My delight I do.’
11Calling from the east a ravenous bird, From a far land the man of My counsel, Yea, I have spoken, yea, I bring it in, I have formed [it], yea, I do it.
12Hearken unto Me, ye mighty in heart, Who are far from righteousness.
13I have brought near My righteousness, It is not far off, And My salvation — it doth not tarry, And I have given in Zion salvation, To Israel My glory!

Isaiah 46
46
1“This is the end for Babylon's gods!
Bel and Nebo once were worshipped,
but now they are loaded on donkeys,
a burden for the backs of tired animals.
2The idols cannot save themselves;
they are captured and carried away.
This is the end for Babylon's gods!
3“Listen to me, descendants of Jacob,
all who are left of my people.
I have cared for you from the time you were born.
4I am your God and will take care of you
until you are old and your hair is grey.
I made you and will care for you;
I will give you help and rescue you.
5“With whom will you compare me?” says the LORD.
“Is there anyone else like me?
6People open their purses and pour out gold;
they weigh out silver on the scales.
They hire a goldsmith to make a god;
then they bow down and worship it!
7They lift it to their shoulders and carry it;
they put it in place, and there it stands,
unable to move from where it is.
If anyone prays to it, it cannot answer
or save him from disaster.
8“Remember this, you sinners;
consider what I have done.
9Remember what happened long ago;
acknowledge that I alone am God
and that there is no one else like me.
10From the beginning I predicted the outcome;
long ago I foretold what would happen.
I said that my plans would never fail,
that I would do everything I intended to do.
11I am calling a man to come from the east;#46.11 a man to come from the east: See 41.2.
he will swoop down like a hawk
and accomplish what I have planned.
I have spoken, and it will be done.
12“Listen to me, you stubborn people
who think that victory is far away.
13I am bringing the day of victory near —
it is not far away at all.
My triumph will not be delayed.
I will save Jerusalem
and bring honour to Israel there.”
