Praise the King
A psalm.
1Sing a new song to the Lord, # Ps 33:3
for He has performed wonders;
His right hand and holy arm
have won Him victory. # Ex 15:6; Is 52:10
2The Lord has made His victory known;
He has revealed His righteousness
in the sight of the nations. # Is 56:1; 62:2
3He has remembered His love
and faithfulness to the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth
have seen our God’s victory. # Ps 22:27; Is 52:10
4Shout to the Lord, all the earth;
be jubilant, shout for joy, and sing. # Ps 66:1; 100:1; Is 44:23
5Sing to the Lord with the lyre,
with the lyre and melodious song. # Ps 51:3; Is 51:3
6With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn
shout triumphantly
in the presence of the Lord, our King. # Nm 10:10; 2Ch 15:14
7Let the sea and all that fills it,
the world and those who live in it, resound. # 1Ch 16:31-32; Ps 93:1; 97:1
8Let the rivers clap their hands;
let the mountains shout together for joy # Ps 89:12; Is 55:12
9before the Lord,
for He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world righteously
and the peoples fairly. # Ps 9:8; 67:4; 96:13
