The Day of the Lord
1“For indeed, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and everyone who commits wickedness will become stubble. The coming day will consume them,” says the Lord of Hosts, “not leaving them root or branches. 2But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, # Ps 37:6; Is 58:8 and you will go out and playfully jump like calves from the stall. # Or like stall-fed calves 3You will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I am preparing,” says the Lord of Hosts.
A Final Warning
4“Remember the instruction of Moses My servant, the statutes and ordinances I commanded him at Horeb # Dt 4:10,15; 5:2 for all Israel. 5Look, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet # Mt 11:13-14 before the great and awesome Day of the Lord comes. # Jl 2:31; Ac 2:20 6 # Mal 3:24 in HbAnd he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers. # Lk 1:17 Otherwise, I will come and strike the land # Or earth with a curse.”

The day of judgment
The LORD said:
1The day of judgment is certain to come. And it will be like a red-hot furnace with flames that burn up proud and sinful people, as though they were straw. Not a branch or a root will be left. I, the LORD All-Powerful, have spoken! 2But for you who honour my name, victory will shine like the sun with healing in its rays, and you will jump around like calves at play. 3When I come to bring justice, you will trample those who are evil, as though they were ashes under your feet. I, the LORD All-Powerful, have spoken!
4Don't ever forget the laws and teachings I gave my servant Moses on Mount Sinai.#4.4 Sinai: Hebrew “Horeb”.
5I, the LORD, promise to send the prophet Elijah before that great and terrible day comes.#Mt 11.14; 17.10-13; Mk 9.11-13; Lk 1.17; Jn 1.21. 6He will lead children and parents to love each other more, so that when I come, I won't bring doom to the land.
