The Future Glory of Israel
1 # [Eph. 5:14] Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and #ch. 40:5; 58:8; Mal. 4:2the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 # ch. 42:6; 49:6; Rev. 21:24 And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 # ch. 49:18 Lift up your eyes all around, and see;
they all gather together, they come to you;
# ver. 9; ch. 66:20 your sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
5Then you shall see and #Ps. 34:5 be radiant;
your heart shall thrill and exult,#60:5 Hebrew your heart shall tremble and grow wide
because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
# ch. 61:6 the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
6A multitude of camels shall cover you,
the young camels of #Judg. 6:5 Midian and #Gen. 25:4 Ephah;
all those from #1 Kgs. 10:1; Ps. 72:10 Sheba shall come.

and shall bring good news, the praises of the Lord.
7All the flocks of #See ch. 21:16 Kedar shall be gathered to you;
the rams of #Gen. 25:13; 28:9; 36:3 Nebaioth shall minister to you;
# ch. 56:7 they shall come up with acceptance on my altar,
# Hag. 2:7 and I will beautify my beautiful house.
8Who are these that fly like a cloud,
and #Hos. 11:11; [Gen. 8:9]like doves to their windows?
9For #ch. 51:5; See ch. 11:11 the coastlands shall hope for me,
# See ch. 2:16 the ships of Tarshish first,
# Gal. 4:26 to bring your children from afar,
their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the Lord your God,
and for the Holy One of Israel,
because #ch. 44:23; 55:5he has made you beautiful.
10 # ch. 45:1, 13; Zech. 6:15 Foreigners shall build up your walls,
and #ch. 45:1, 13; Zech. 6:15their kings shall minister to you;
for in my wrath I struck you,
but in my favor I have had mercy on you.
11 # [Rev. 21:25, 26] Your gates shall be open continually;
day and night they shall not be shut,
# [Rev. 21:25, 26] that people may bring to you the wealth of the nations,
with their kings led in procession.
12 # [Zech. 14:17-19] For the nation and kingdom
that will not serve you shall perish;
those nations shall be utterly laid waste.

to beautify the place of my sanctuary,
and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

and your Redeemer, #Gen. 49:24; Ps. 132:2the Mighty One of Jacob.
17Instead of bronze I will bring gold,
and instead of iron I will bring silver;
instead of wood, bronze,
instead of stones, iron.
I will make your overseers peace
# [ch. 58:3] and your taskmasters righteousness.
18 # ch. 11:9 Violence shall no more be heard in your land,
devastation or destruction within your borders;
# ch. 26:1 you shall call your walls Salvation,
and your gates Praise.

your light by day,
nor for brightness shall the moon

20Your sun shall no more go down,
nor your moon withdraw itself;
