Isaiah 12
12
A Song of Praise to God
1At that time you will say,
“I praise you, Lord!
You have been angry with me,
but don’t be angry with me now.
Show your love to me.
2God is the one who saves me.
I trust him, and I am not afraid.
The Lord YAH is my strength.
He saves me, and I sing songs of praise about him.#12:2 The Lord YAH … him Literally, “YAH, YAHWEH is my strength and praise. And he becomes my salvation.” This comes from the victory song of Moses in Ex. 15:2.”
3You people will get your water from the spring of salvation.
Then you will be happy.
4At that time you will say,
“Praise the Lord and call out his name!
Tell everyone what he has done
and how wonderful he is.”
5Sing songs of praise about the Lord,
because he has done great things.
Spread this news about God throughout the whole world.
Let all people know these things.
6People of Zion, shout about these things!
The Holy One of Israel is with you in a powerful way.
So sing and be happy!

Hymn of Thanksgiving
1A day is coming when people will sing,
“I praise you, LORD! You were angry with me,
but now you comfort me and are angry no longer.

Ex 15.2; Ps 118.14 God is my saviour;
I will trust him and not be afraid.
The LORD gives me power and strength;
he is my saviour.
3As fresh water brings joy to the thirsty,
so God's people rejoice when he saves them.”
4A day is coming when people will sing,
“Give thanks to the LORD! Call for him to help you!
Tell all the nations what he has done!
Tell them how great he is!
5Sing to the LORD because of the great things he has done.
Let the whole world hear the news.
6Let everyone who lives in Zion shout and sing!
Israel's holy God is great,
and he lives among his people.”
