2Be gracious to me, O Yahweh, for I am pining away;

4¶Return, O Yahweh, rescue my #6:4 Or lifesoul;
Save me because of Your lovingkindness.

In Sheol who will give You thanks?

Every night I make my bed swim,
I flood my couch with my tears.
7My eye has wasted away with grief;
It has become old because of all my adversaries.
8¶Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity,
For Yahweh has heard the sound of my weeping.
9Yahweh has heard my supplication,
Yahweh receives my prayer.
10All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed;
They shall #6:10 Or again be ashamed suddenlyturn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.
