Isaiah 64
64
LXIV
1O that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down,
That the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
2As the fire kindleth the dry fuel,
As the fire causeth the waters to boil,
To make known thy name to thine adversaries,
That the nations may tremble at thy presence.
3When thou didst terrible things, which we expected not;
Thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
4For from the remotest time men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear.
Neither hath the eye seen any God beside Thee,
That doeth such things for those who wait for him.
5Thou meetest them that rejoice and do justice,
Those that remember thee in thy ways:
Behold, thou wast wroth, when we sinned;
Thou watt against them of old, and shall we be saved?
6We are all of us as an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are as a filthy garment;
And we are all of us withered like a leaf;
And our iniquities, like the wind, have carried us away.
7There is none that calleth upon thy name,
That stirreth up himself to take hold of thee;
For thou hast hid thy face from us,
And caused us to melt away by reason of our sins.
8But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father;
We are the clay, and thou hast formed us:
We are all of us the work of thy hand.
9Be not wroth very sore, O Jehovah,
Neither remember iniquity for ever:
Behold! see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
10Thy holy cities are a wilderness,
Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
11Our holy and our beautiful house,
Where our fathers praised thee,
Is burned up with fire;
And all the objects of our desire are laid waste.
12Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O Jehovah?
Wilt thou keep silence, and afflict us very sore?

Yeshayah (Isaiah) 64
64
1Oh, that You would tear the heavens open, come down, that mountains shall shake before You –
2as when fire burns twigs, as fire makes water boil – to make Your Name known to Your adversaries, so that nations tremble before You.
3When You did awesome matters, which we did not expect, You came down, mountains did shake before You!
4Since the beginning of the ages they have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any Elohim besides You, who acts for those who wait for Him.
5You shall meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, who remembers You in Your ways. See, You were wroth when we sinned in them a long time. And should we be saved?
6And all of us have become as one unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as soiled rags. And all of us fade like a leaf, and our crookednesses, like the wind, have taken us away.
7And there is no one who calls on Your Name, who stirs himself up to be strengthened#Commonly understood as “Take hold of.” in You; for You have hidden Your face from us, and have consumed us because of our crookednesses.
8And now, O יהוה, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You our potter. And we are all the work of Your hand.
9Do not be wroth, O יהוה, nor remember crookedness forever. See, please look, all of us are Your people!
10Your set-apart cities have become a wilderness, Tsiyon has become a wilderness, Yerushalayim a waste.
11Our set-apart and comely House, where our fathers praised You, has been burned up with fire. And all that we treasured has become a ruin.
12In view of all this, would You restrain Yourself, O יהוה? Would You keep silent and afflict us beyond measure?
