Isaiah 25
25
XXV
1O Jehovah, thou art my God:
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
For thou hast done wonderful things,
The counsels of old time with faithfulness and truth
2For thou hast made the city an heap;
The fortified town a ruin:
The palace of strangers to be no city;
It shall never be built again.
3Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee,
The city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
4For thou hast been a defence to the poor,
A defence to the needy in his distress;
A refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat,
When the rage of the terrible ones was like a storm against the walk
5As heat in a dry land, so shalt thou bring down the tumult of the strangers;
As heat by the shadow of a cloud, so shall be brought low the triumphant song of the terrible ones.
6And in this mountain shall Jehovah of hosts make unto all the people
A feast of fat things, a feast of wine on the lees:
Of fat things full of marrow, of wine on the lees well refined.
7And He shall destroy in this mountain
The face of the covering which covereth all the people;
And the veil which is spread over all the nations.
8He shall utterly destroy death for ever,
And the Lord Jehovah shall wipe away the tear from off all faces;
And the reproach of his people shall he remove from off the whole earth:
For Jehovah hath spoken it.
9And it shall be said in that day: Lo, this is our God;
We have waited for him, and he hath saved us:
This is Jehovah; we have waited for him;
We will rejoice, and be glad, in his salvation.
10For the hand of Jehovah shall rest in this mountain:
And Moab shall be trodden down in his own place,
As straw is trodden down in a dunghill.
11And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst thereof,
As a swimmer spreadeth forth for to swim;
And He shall humble his pride, together with the deceit of his hands.
12And the bulwark of thy lofty walls shall he bring down, lay low,
And bring it to the ground, even to the dust.

Yeshayah 25
25
1 Hashem, Thou art Elohai; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Shimecha; for Thou hast done peleh;#25:1 See Isa 9:6 [5] Thy etzot (plans) of old are emunah omen (perfect faithfulness).
2For Thou hast made an Ir a heap; a fortified city, a ruin; the stronghold of the zarim (foreigners) to be rebuilt never more.
3Therefore even the am oz (strong people) shall glorify Thee, the city of the ruthless Goyim shall fear Thee.
4For Thou hast been a ma'oz (refuge) to the poor, a ma'oz to the evyon in his tzoros, a makheseh (shelter, cover) from the zerem (shower, storm, downpour), a tzel (shade) from the chorev (heat), when the ruach of the ruthless ones is like a zerem (shower, storm, downpour) against a wall.
5Thou shalt silence the tumult of zarim, as the chorev (heat) in a dry place; even the chorev by the tzel (shadow) of a cloud; the zemir (battle song) of the ruthless ones shall be brought low.
6And in Har Hazeh#25:6 i.e., Mt Tziyon shall Hashem Tzva'os make unto kol HaAmim a fat mishteh (feast), a mishteh (feast) of finest, aged wines, of finest meats, of the best wines of finest vintage.
7And He will destroy in Har Hazeh the pnei hallot (the face of the covering, the [death] shroud) cast over all people, and the masseikhah (overspreading veil) over Kol HaGoyim.
8He will swallow up HaMavet (death) lanetzach (forever); and Adonoi Hashem will wipe away tears from off kol panim; and the kherpah (shame, disgrace) of His people shall He take away from off kol ha'aretz; for Hashem hath spoken it.
9And it shall be said in Yom HaHu, Hinei, this is Eloheinu; we have waited for Him, and He will save us; this is Hashem; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and have simcha in His Yeshu'ah (Salvation).
10For in Har Hazeh#25:10 i.e., Mt Tziyon shall the Yad Hashem rest, and Moav shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down in dung.
11And He shall spread forth His hands in the midst of them, just as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim; and He shall bring down their ga'avah (pride) together with the arvot (cleverness) of their hands.
12And the fortification of thy high chomot (walls) shall He bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the aphar (dust).
