Isaiah 11
11
XI
1And there shall come forth a rod from the stem, of Jesse;
And a shoot from his root shall produce fruit.
2And the spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him;
The spirit of wisdom, and understanding;
The spirit of counsel, and might;
The spirit of knowledge, and the fear of Jehovah.
3And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah:
So that he shall not judge according to the sight of his eyes,
Neither give sentence according to the hearing of his ears;
4But with righteousness shall he judge the poor,
And with equity shall he give sentence to the meek of the earth.
And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
And with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.
5And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins,
And faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6Then shall the wolf take up his abode with the lamb;
And the leopard shall lie down with the kid:
And the calf, and the young lion, and the fading shall be together;
And a little child shall lead them.
7And the cow and the bear shall feed together;
Their young ones shall lie down together:
And the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8And the sucking child shall play at the hole of the asp,
And upon the den of the basilisk shall the newly weaned child lay his hand.
9They shall not hurt, nor destroy, in all my holy mountain;
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah,
As the waters cover the sea.
10And in that day there shall be
A root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign to the people;
Unto him shall the nations repair,
And his place of rest shall be glorious.
11And it shall come to pass in that day,
That the Lord shall again the second time put forth his hand,
To recover the remnant of his people
That remaineth, from Assyria, and from Egypt;
And from Pathros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam;
And from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the Islands of the sea.
12And he shall lift up an ensign to the nations;
And he shall gather the outcasts of Israel,
And the dispersed of Judah shall he collect,
From the four extremities of the earth.
13And the jealousy of Ephraim shall depart,
And the adversaries in Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah,
Neither shall Judah be at enmity with Ephraim.
14But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west;
Together shall they spoil the children of the east;
On Edom and Moab they shall lay their hand;
And the sons of Ammon shall obey them.
15And Jehovah shall devote to destruction the tongue of the sea of Egypt;
And he shall shake his hand over the river with his vehement wind,
And he shall strike it into seven streams,
So that one may pass over it dry-shod.
16And there shall be a high-way for the remnant of his people,
Which shall remain from Assyria,
As there was unto Israel
In the day when he came up from the land of Egypt.

will someday be king.
2The Spirit of the Lord
will be with him
to give him understanding,
wisdom, and insight.
He will be powerful,
and he will know
and honor the Lord.
3His greatest joy will be
to obey the Lord.
This king won't judge
by appearances
or listen to rumors.
4The poor and the needy
will be treated with fairness
and with justice.
His word will be law
everywhere in the land,
and criminals
will be put to death.

Ro 15.12. The time is coming when one of David's descendants#11.10 David's descendants: Hebrew “Jesse's descendants” (see the note at 11.1). will be the signal for the people of all nations to come together. They will follow his advice, and his own nation will become famous.
11When that day comes, the Lord will again reach out his mighty arm and bring home his people who have survived in Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Ethiopia,#11.11 Ethiopia: The Hebrew text has “Cush,” which was a region south of Egypt that included parts of the present countries of Ethiopia and Sudan. Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the land along the coast.#11.11 land along the coast: Or “islands.” 12He will give a signal to the nations, and he will bring together the refugees from Judah and Israel, who have been scattered all over the earth. 13Israel will stop being jealous of Judah, and Judah will no longer be the enemy of Israel. 14Instead, they will get together and attack the Philistines in the west. Then they will defeat the Edomites, the Moabites, and the Ammonites in the east. They will rule those people and take from them whatever they want.

Rev 16.12. The Lord will dry up the arm of the Red Sea near Egypt,#11.15 arm of the Red Sea near Egypt: Gulf of Suez. and he will send a scorching wind to divide the Euphrates River into seven streams that anyone can step across. 16Then for his people who survive, there will be a good road from Assyria, just as there was a good road for their ancestors when they left Egypt.
