Isaiah 4
4
1When this happens, seven women will grab the same man, and each of them will say, “I'll buy my own food and clothes! Just marry me and take away my disgrace.”#4.1 take away my disgrace: If a woman did not have a husband or children, it was thought that God was punishing her.
The LORD will bless his people who survive
2The time is coming when the LORD will make his land fruitful and glorious again, and the people of Israel who survive will take great pride in what the land produces. 3Everyone who is left alive in Jerusalem will be called special, 4after the LORD sends a fiery judgment to clean the city and its people of their violent deeds.
5Then the LORD will cover the whole city and its meeting places with a thick cloud each day and with a flaming fire#4.5 thick…fire: This is how the LORD led the people of Israel during the forty years they were in the desert (see Exodus 13.20-22; 40.36-38). each night. God's own glory will be like a huge tent that covers everything.#Ex 13.21; 24.16. 6It will provide shade from the heat of the sun and a place of shelter and protection from storms and rain.

Isaiah 4
4
1 And seven women shall grasp at one man on that day, saying,
“We will eat our own bread,
and we will wear our own clothing;
only let us be called by your name!#Literally “let your name be called upon us”
Take away our disgrace!”
The Glory of the Branch of Yahweh
2On that day the branch of Yahweh shall become beautiful and glorious,
and the fruit of the land shall become the pride and glory of the survivors#Hebrew “survivor” of Israel.
3And this shall happen: He who is left in Zion
and he who remains in Jerusalem will be called holy,
everyone written for life in Jerusalem,
4when the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion
and cleansed the blood of Jerusalem from her midst
by a spirit of judgment
and by a spirit of burning.
5Then Yahweh will create over all of the site#Or “place” of Mount Zion#Literally “the mountain of Zion”
and over her assembly a cloud by day
and smoke and the brightness of flaming fire by night.
Indeed, over all the glory there will be a canopy,
6and it will be a shelter for shade from the heat by day,
and a refuge and a hiding place from rainstorm and from rain.
