Exodus 32
32
1And when the people saw that Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aharon [Bright, Very High], and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for [as for] this Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], we know not what is become of him.
2And Aharon [Bright, Very High] said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which [are] in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring [them] unto me.
3And all the people broke off the golden earrings which [were] in their ears, and brought [them] unto Aharon [Bright, Very High].
4And he received [them] at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These [be] youi gods, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], which brought youi up out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place].
5And when Aharon [Bright, Very High] saw [it], he built an altar before it; and Aharon [Bright, Very High] made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow [is] a feast to the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
6And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
7And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], Go, get youi down; for youi people, which youi brought out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], have corrupted [themselves]:
8They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These [be] youi gods, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], which have brought youi up out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place].
9And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], I have seen this people, and, behold, it [is] a stiff-necked people:
10Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may grow (become; advance) hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of youi a great nation.
11And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] besought the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) his God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and said, Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), why does youi wrath grow (become; advance) hot against youi people, which youi have brought forth out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place] with great power, and with a mighty hand?
12For what reason should the Mitzri speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from youi fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against youi people.
13Remember Avraham [Exalted Father], Yitz’chak [Laughter], and Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], youri servants, to whom youi swore by youri own self, and said unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit [it] forever.
14And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
15And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony [were] in his hand: the tables [were] written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other [were] they written.
16And the tables [were] the work of God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and the writing [was] the writing of God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], graven upon the tables.
17And when Y’hoshua [Yehovah is Salvation] heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], [There is] a noise of war in the camp.
18And he said, [It is] not the voice of [them that] shout for mastery, neither [is it] the voice of [them that] cry for being overcome: [but] the noise of [them that] sing do I hear.
19And it came to pass, as soon as he came near unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters]’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount.
20And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt [it] in the fire, and ground [it] to powder, and scattered [it] upon the water, and made the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] drink [of it].
21And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] said unto Aharon [Bright, Very High], What did this people unto youi, that youi have brought so great a sin upon them?
22And Aharon [Bright, Very High] said, Let not the anger of my lord grow (become; advance) hot: youi know the people, that they [are set] on mischief.
23For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for [as for] this Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], we know not what is become of him.
24And I said unto them, Whosoever has any gold, let them break [it] off. So they gave [it] me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.
25And when Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] saw that the people [were] naked; (for Aharon [Bright, Very High] had made them naked unto [their] shame among their enemies:)
26Then Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who [is] on the Lord-Yehōvah’s [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] side? [let him come] unto me. And all the sons of Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner] gathered themselves together unto him.
27And he said unto them, Thus says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], Put every man his sword by his side, [and] go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
28And the children of Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner] did according to the word of Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters]: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
29For Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] had said, Consecrate (treat as set apart or separate unto God) yourselves today to the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.
30And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] said unto the people, You2f have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate); perhaps I shall make an atonement for your sin.
31And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] returned unto the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
32Yet now, if youi will forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray youi, out of youi book which youi have written.
33And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
34Therefore now go, lead the people unto [the place] of which I have spoken unto youi: behold, my Angel shall go before youi: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
35And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aharon [Bright, Very High] made.
