Mensagem à igreja em Sardes
1— Ao anjo da igreja em Sardes escreva isto:
“Aquele que tem os sete espíritos de Deus e as sete estrelas diz o seguinte:
“Eu sei o que vocês fazem e que vocês têm a fama de estarem vivos, mas na verdade estão mortos. 2Despertem e fortaleçam aquilo que vocês ainda têm, antes que morra completamente. Pois eu tenho notado que as suas obras não são perfeitas diante do meu Deus. 3Lembrem-se, pois, do ensino que vocês receberam e ouviram. Continuem a obedecê-lo e mudem a sua forma de pensar e de viver. Se vocês não despertarem, eu irei como um ladrão e vocês não ficarão sabendo a hora em que eu os surpreenderei.
4“Contudo, algumas pessoas entre vocês aí em Sardes não contaminaram as suas roupas. Essas pessoas andarão comigo vestidas de branco, pois são dignas. 5Aquele que vencer se vestirá assim, com roupas brancas, e de modo nenhum apagarei o seu nome do Livro da Vida. Pelo contrário, reconhecerei o seu nome diante do meu Pai e dos seus anjos.
6“Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.
Mensagem à igreja em Filadélfia
7— Ao anjo da igreja em Filadélfia escreva isto:
“Aquele que é santo e verdadeiro, que tem a chave que pertencia a Davi, que abre para que ninguém possa fechar e que fecha para que ninguém possa abrir#3.7 abre (…) abrir Ver Is 22.22., diz o seguinte:
8“Eu sei o que vocês fazem. Olhem, eu tenho colocado diante de vocês uma porta aberta que ninguém pode fechar. Sei que vocês não têm muita força, entretanto têm obedecido ao meu ensino e não têm me negado. 9Olhem, alguns homens mentem, pois se dizem judeus embora não o sejam (eles são da sinagoga de Satanás). Eu farei com que eles venham e se ajoelhem aos pés de vocês e que saibam que eu os amo. 10Porque vocês têm obedecido à minha ordem para ter paciência, eu também os protegerei da hora da provação que virá sobre o mundo inteiro, para pôr à prova aqueles que habitam na terra.
11“Eu virei em breve; portanto, conservem o que vocês têm para que ninguém tome a sua coroa. 12Aquele que vencer passará a ser coluna do templo do meu Deus e dali ele jamais sairá. Também gravarei sobre ele o meu novo nome, o nome do meu Deus e o nome da cidade do meu Deus. Esta cidade é a nova Jerusalém#3.12 nova Jerusalém Cidade espiritual onde Deus vive com seu povo. que descerá do céu, vinda da parte do meu Deus.
13“Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.
Mensagem à igreja em Laodiceia
14— Ao anjo da igreja em Laodiceia escreva isto:
“O Amém#3.14 Amém Aqui se usa como um nome para Jesus. É uma palavra hebraica cujo significado é o de se concordar com algo que é verdade., a testemunha fiel e verdadeira, aquele que tem autoridade#3.14 aquele que tem autoridade Ou “aquele que reina sobre”, ou “o Princípio”. sobre toda a criação de Deus diz o seguinte:
15“Eu sei o que vocês fazem e sei que vocês não são nem frios nem quentes. Quem dera vocês fossem ou frios ou quentes! 16Assim, porque vocês são mornos e não são nem quentes nem frios, estou a ponto de vomitá-los da minha boca. 17Pois vocês dizem: ‘Nós somos ricos; temos de tudo e não precisamos de nada’. Mas na realidade vocês nem sabem que estão nus e que são miseráveis, infelizes, pobres e cegos. 18Eu os aconselho a comprar de mim ouro refinado pelo fogo, para que vocês de fato fiquem ricos. Comprem também roupas brancas para se vestirem, a fim de que a sua vergonhosa nudez não apareça. Comprem ainda colírio para os seus olhos, para que vocês possam ver.
19“Eu repreendo e disciplino todos aqueles que amo. Sejam, pois, dedicados e mudem a sua forma de pensar e de viver. 20Escutem, eu estou à porta e bato. Se alguém ouvir a minha voz e abrir a porta, entrarei em sua casa e comerei com ele e ele comerá comigo. 21Àquele que vencer eu darei o privilégio de se sentar comigo no meu trono, assim como eu também venci e me sentei com o meu Pai no seu trono.
22“Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.

To the Church in Sardis
1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him # See ch. 1:4, 16 who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
“‘I know your works. You have the reputation #
1 Tim. 5:6 of being alive, # See Luke 15:24 but you are dead. 2Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works #Acts 14:26complete in the sight of my God. 3#[2 Tim. 1:13] Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, #ch. 2:5 I will come #ch. 16:15; Matt. 24:43; 1 Thess. 5:2, 4; 2 Pet. 3:10like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. 4Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not #Jude 23 soiled their garments, and they will walk with me #ch. 6:11; 7:9; [Eccles. 9:8] in white, for they are #[Luke 20:35]worthy. 5#See ch. 2:7 The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never #See Ex. 32:32 blot his name out of #ch. 13:8; 17:8; 20:12, 15; 21:27; Phil. 4:3 the book of life. #Matt. 10:32; Luke 12:8I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. 6#[See ch. 2:7 above]He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
To the Church in Philadelphia
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of # ch. 6:10 the holy one, # ver. 14; ch. 19:11; 1 John 5:20 the true one, #
Isa. 22:22; [Luke 1:32] who has the key of David, #
Job 12:14; [Matt. 16:19] who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.
8 “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you #
Acts 14:27; 1 Cor. 16:9; 2 Cor. 2:12; Col. 4:3 an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9Behold, I will make those of #ch. 2:9 the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, #[Isa. 45:14; 49:23; 60:14] I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that #Isa. 43:4I have loved you. 10#ch. 1:9; 2 Pet. 2:9 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try #ch. 6:10; 8:13; 11:10; 13:8, 14; 17:8those who dwell on the earth. 11#ch. 22:7, 12, 20 I am coming soon. #ch. 2:25 Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize #ch. 2:10your crown. 12#See ch. 2:7 The one who conquers, I will make him #1 Kgs. 7:21; 2 Chr. 3:17; Jer. 1:18; Gal. 2:9; [Ps. 23:6; 27:4] a pillar in the temple of my God. To the Church in Laodicea
14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the #

Col. 1:15, 18; [ch. 21:6; 22:13; Prov. 8:22] the beginning of God’s creation.
