Psalms 147
147
Our Amazing God
1Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
How beautiful it is when we sing our praises to the beautiful God,
for praise makes you lovely before him
and brings him great delight!
2Yahweh builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers up the outcasts and brings them home.
3He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.
4He sets his stars in place, calling them all by their names. # 147:4 See Job 9:9; 38:31–33; Isa. 40:26; Amos 5:8.
5How great is our God!
There’s absolutely nothing his power cannot accomplish,
and he has infinite understanding of everything.
6Yahweh supports and strengthens the humble,
but the ungodly will be brought down to the dust.
7Sing out with songs of thanksgiving to the Lord!
Let’s sing our praises with melodies overflowing!
8He fills the sky with clouds, sending showers to water the earth
so that the grass springs up on the mountain fields
and the earth produces food for man. # 147:8 As translated from the Septuagint.
9All the birds and beasts who cry with hunger to him
are fed from his hands.
10His people don’t find security in strong horses,
for horsepower is nothing to him.
Manpower is even less impressive!
11Yahweh shows favor to # 147:11 Or “takes pleasure in,” “delights in,” “sets his affection on,” “enjoys,” “finds pleasing,” “is satisfied with.” those who fear him,
those who wait for his tender embrace. # 147:11 Or “who wait for his loyal, unfailing love.”
12Jerusalem, praise the Lord! Zion, worship your God!
13For he has strengthened the authority of your gates.
He even blesses you with more children.
14He’s the one who brings peace to your borders, # 147:14 The Septuagint reads “He makes peace your borders.”
feeding you the most excellent of fare.
15He sends out his orders throughout the world;
his words run as swift messengers, bringing them to pass.
16He blankets the earth with glistening snow,
painting the landscape with frost.
17Sleet and hail fall from the sky,
causing waters to freeze before winter’s icy blast.
18Then he speaks his word and it all melts away;
as the warm spring winds blow, the streams begin to flow.
19In the same way, he speaks his word to Jacob,
and to Israel he brings his life-giving instruction.
20He has dealt with Israel differently than with any other people,
for they have received his laws.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

1Praise you2f the Lord- Yah [Behold The Hand] (Messiah Pre-Incarnate): for [it is] good to sing praises unto our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]; for [it is] pleasant; [and] praise is comely (attractive; proper (one’s own; peculiar; particular); becoming).
2The Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] does build up Yerushalayim [Foundation Of Peace]: he gathers together the outcasts of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel of God].
3He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4He tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by [their] names.
5Great [is] our Lord-Adon [Lord of the Earth], and of great power: his understanding [is] infinite.
6The Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] lifts up the meek: he castes the wicked down to the ground.
7Sing unto the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]:
8Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
9He gives to the beast his food, [and] to the young ravens which cry.
10He delights not in the strength of the horse: he takes not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11The Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12Praise the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], O Yerushalayim [Foundation Of Peace]; praise youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], O Tziyon [Parched Place].
13For he has strengthened the bars of youri gates; he has Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) youri children within youi.
14He makes peace [in] youri borders, [and] fills youi with the finest of the wheat.
15He send forth his commandment [upon] earth: his word runs very swiftly.
16He gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.
17He castes forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18He send out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, [and] the waters flow.
19He shows his word unto Ya’akov [Heel of God], his statutes and his judgments unto Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel of God].
20He has not dealt so with any nation: and [as for his] judgments, they have not known them. Praise you2f the Lord- Yah [Behold The Hand] (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
