Psalms 126

A song of the stairway
1It was like a dream come true
when you freed us from our bondage and brought us back to Zion!
2We laughed and laughed and overflowed with gladness.
We were left shouting for joy and singing your praise.
All the nations saw it and joined in, saying,
“The Lord has done great miracles for them!”
3Yes, he did mighty miracles and we are overjoyed!
4Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory!
May streams of your refreshing flow over us
until our dry hearts are drenched again.
5Those who sow their tears as seeds # 126:5 Or “sow their seeds with tears.” A sower weeps when he sows his precious seed while his children are hungry. This is a picture of sacrificing what little we have for the harvest to come.
will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee.
6They may weep as they go out carrying their seed to sow,
but they will return with joyful laughter and shouting with gladness
as they bring back armloads of blessing and a harvest overflowing!

A Song of degrees.
1When the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] turned again the captivity of Tziyon [Parched Place], we were like them that dream.
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] has done great things for them.
3The Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] has done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
4Turn again our captivity, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], as the streams in the south.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6He that goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves [with him].
