Psalms 95

PSALM 95
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1O come, let us sing to the Lord:
come, let us ev'ry one
A joyful noise make to the Rock
of our salvation.
2Let us before his presence come
with praise and thankful voice;
Let us sing psalms to him with grace,
and make a joyful noise.
3For God, a great God, and great King,
above all gods he is.
4Depths of the earth are in his hand,
the strength of hills is his.
5To him the spacious sea belongs,
for he the same did make;
The dry land also from his hands
its form at first did take.
6O come, and let us worship him,
let us bow down withal,
And on our knees before the Lord
our Maker let us fall.
7For he's our God, the people we
of his own pasture are,
And of his hand the sheep; to-day,
if ye his voice will hear,
8Then harden not your hearts, as in
the provocation,
As in the desert, on the day
of the tentation:
9When me your fathers tempt'd and prov'd,
and did my working see;
10Ev'n for the space of forty years
this race hath grieved me.
I said, This people errs in heart,
my ways they do not know:
11To whom I sware in wrath, that to
my rest they should not go.

Psalms 95
95
1Come, let vs reioyce vnto the Lord: let vs sing aloude vnto the rocke of our saluation. 2Let vs come before his face with praise: let vs sing loude vnto him with Psalmes. 3For the Lord is a great God, and a great King aboue all gods. 4In whose hande are the deepe places of the earth, and the heightes of the mountaines are his: 5To whome the Sea belongeth: for hee made it, and his handes formed the dry land. 6Come, let vs worship and fall downe, and kneele before the Lord our maker. 7For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheepe of his hande: to day, if ye will heare his voyce, 8Harden not your heart, as in Meribah, and as in the day of Massah in the wildernesse. 9Where your fathers tempted me, proued me, though they had seene my worke. 10Fourtie yeeres haue I contended with this generation, and said, They are a people that erre in heart, for they haue not knowen my wayes. 11Wherefore I sware in my wrath, saying, Surely they shall not enter into my rest.
