Psalms 93

PSALM 93
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1The Lord doth reign, and cloth'd is he
with majesty most bright;
His works do shew him cloth'd to be,
and girt about with might.
The world is also stablished,
that it cannot depart.
2Thy throne is fix'd of old, and thou
from everlasting art.
3The floods,
O Lord, have lifted up,
they lifted up their voice;
The floods have lifted up their waves,
and made a mighty noise.
4But yet the Lord, that is on high,
is more of might by far
Than noise of many waters is,
or great sea-billows are.
5Thy testimonies ev'ry one
in faithfulness excel;
And holiness for ever, Lord,
thine house becometh well.

Tehillim 93
93
1 Hashem reigneth, He is robed with majesty; Hashem is clothed with strength, wherewith He hath girded Himself; the tevel (world) also is established, that it cannot be moved.
2Thy kisse is established of old; Thou art me'olam (from everlasting).
3The floods have lifted up, Hashem, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 Hashem on high is mightier than the noise of mayim rabbim, yea, than the mighty waves of the yam.
5Thy testimonies are very sure; Kodesh becometh Thine Beis, Hashem, forever.
