Psalms 85

PSALM 85
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
To the chief Musician,
A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
1O Lord, thou hast been favourable
to thy beloved land:
Jacob's captivity thou hast
recall'd with mighty hand.
2Thou pardoned thy people hast
all their iniquities;
Thou all their trespasses and sins
hast cover'd from thine eyes.
3Thou took'st off all thine ire, and turn'dst
from thy wrath's furiousness.
4Turn us, God of our health, and cause
thy wrath 'gainst us to cease.
5Shall thy displeasure thus endure
against us without end?
Wilt thou to generations all
thine anger forth extend?
6That in thee may thy people joy,
wilt thou not us revive?
7Shew us thy mercy, Lord, to us
do thy salvation give.
8I'll hear what God the Lord will speak:
to his folk he'll speak peace,
And to his saints; but let them not
return to foolishness.
9To them that fear him surely near
is his salvation;
That glory in our land may have
her habitation.
10Truth met with mercy, righteousness
and peace kiss'd mutually:
11Truth springs from earth, and righteousness
looks down from heaven high.
12Yea, what is good the Lord shall give;
our land shall yield increase:
13Justice, to set us in his steps,
shall go before his face.

Psalms 85
85
To the Heavenly Worship Leader, A Psalm (sacred song about or to God) for the sons of Korakh [Bald].
1Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], youi have been favourable unto youri land: youi have brought back the captivity of Ya’akov [Heel of God].
2youi have forgiven the iniquity of youri people, youi have covered all their sin. Selah [stop and diligently consider what was just said].
3youi have taken away all youri wrath: youi have turned [yourself] from the fierceness of youri anger.
4Turn us, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of our salvation, and cause youri anger toward us to cease.
5Will youi be angry with us forever? will youi draw out youri anger to all generations?
6Will youi not revive us again: that youri people may rejoice in youi?
7Show us youri mercy, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], and grant us youri salvation.
8I will hear what God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
9Surely his salvation [is] near them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
10Mercy and tare met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].
11Tshall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12Yea, the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] shall give [that which is] good; and our land shall yield her increase.
13Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set [us] in the way of his steps.
