PSALM 66
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1All lands to God in joyful sounds,
aloft your voices raise.
2Sing forth the honour of his name,
and glorious make his praise.
3Say unto God, How terrible
in all thy works art thou!
Through thy great pow'r thy foes to thee
shall be constrain'd to bow.
4All on the earth shall worship thee,
they shall thy praise proclaim
In songs: they shall sing cheerfully
unto thy holy name.
5Come, and the works that God hath wrought
with admiration see:
In's working to the sons of men
most terrible is he.
6Into dry land the sea he turn'd,
and they a passage had;
Ev'n marching through the flood on foot,
there we in him were glad.
7He ruleth ever by his pow'r;
his eyes the nations see:
O let not the rebellious ones
lift up themselves on high.
8Ye people, bless our God; aloud
the voice speak of his praise:
9Our soul in life who safe preserves,
our foot from sliding stays.
10For thou didst prove and try us, Lord,
as men do silver try;
11Brought'st us into the net,
and mad'st bands on our loins to lie.
12Thou hast caus'd men ride o'er our heads;
and though that we did pass
Through fire and water, yet thou brought'st
us to a wealthy place.
13I'll bring burnt off 'rings to thy house;
to thee my vows I'll pay,
14Which my lips utter'd, my mouth spake,
when trouble on me lay.
15Burnt-sacrifices of fat rams
with incense I will bring;
Of bullocks and of goats I will
present an offering.
16All that fear God, come, hear, I'll tell
what he did for my soul.
17I with my mouth unto him cry'd,
my tongue did him extol.
18If in my heart I sin regard,
the Lord me will not hear:
19But surely God me heard,
and to my prayer's voice gave ear.
20O let the Lord, our gracious God,
for ever blessed be,
Who turned not my pray'r from him,
nor yet his grace from me.

PSALM 66
To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.
1Shout aloud unto God#GodHebrew: Elohim all the earth: 2Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious; 3Say unto God#GodHebrew: Elohim How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee. 4All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah. 5Come and see the works of God#GodHebrew: Elohim he is terrible in his doings toward the children of men. 6He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him. 7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8Bless our God#GodHebrew: Elohim ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard; 9Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. 10For thou, O God#GodHebrew: Elohim hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. 11Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins; 12Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.
13I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee, 14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. 15I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. 16Come, hear, all ye that fear God#GodHebrew: Elohim and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. 17I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. 18Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear. 19But God#GodHebrew: Elohim hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. 20Blessed be God#GodHebrew: Elohim who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!
