PSALM 65
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1Praise waits for thee in Sion, Lord:
to thee vows paid shall be.
2O thou that hearer art of pray'r,
all flesh shall come to thee.
3Iniquities, I must confess,
prevail against me do:
But as for our transgressions,
them purge away shalt thou.
4Bless'd is the man whom thou dost chuse,
and mak'st approach to thee,
That he within thy courts, O Lord,
may still a dweller be:
We surely shall be satisfy'd
with thy abundant grace,
And with the goodness of thy house,
ev'n of thy holy place.
5O God of our salvation,
thou, in thy righteousness,
By fearful works unto our pray'rs
thine answer dost express:
Therefore the ends of all the earth,
and those afar that be
Upon the sea, their confidence,
O Lord, will place in thee.
6Who, being girt with pow'r, sets fast
by his great strength the hills.
7Who noise of seas, noise of their waves,
and people's tumult, stills.
8Those in the utmost parts that dwell
are at thy signs afraid:
Th' outgoings of the morn and ev'n
by thee are joyful made.
9The earth thou visit'st, wat'ring it;
thou mak'st it rich to grow
With God's full flood; thou corn prepar'st,
when thou provid'st it so.
10Her rigs thou wat'rest plenteously,
her furrows settelest:
With show'rs thou dost her mollify,
her spring by thee is blest.
11So thou the year most lib'rally
dost with thy goodness crown;
And all thy paths abundantly
on us drop fatness down.
12They drop upon the pastures wide,
that do in deserts lie;
The little hills on ev'ry side
rejoice right pleasantly.
13With flocks the pastures clothed be,
the vales with corn are clad;
And now they shout and sing to thee,
for thou hast made them glad.

Psalms 65
65
To the Heavenly Worship Leader, A Psalm (sacred song about or to God) [and] Song of David [Beloved].
1Praise waits for youi, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], in Si’on [Lofty]: and unto youi shall the vow be performed.
2O youi that hear prayer, unto youi shall all flesh come.
3Iniquities prevail against me: [as for] our transgressions, youi shall purge them away.
4Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) [is the man whom] youi choose, and cause to approach [unto youi, that] he may dwell in youri courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of youri house, [even] of youri holy temple.
5 [By] terrible things in righteousness will youi answer us, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of our salvation; [who are] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off [upon] the sea:
6Which by his strength sets fast the mountains; [being] girded with power:
7Which stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at youri tokens: youi make the extreme limits of the morning and evening to rejoice.
9youi visit the earth, and waters it: youi greatly enriche it with the river of God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], [which] is full of water: youi prepare them corn, when youi have so provided for it.
10youi water the ridges thereof abundantly: youi settle the furrows thereof: youi make it soft with showers: youi bless the springing thereof.
11youi crown the year with youri goodness; and youri paths drop fatness.
12They drop [upon] the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
13The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
