PSALM 5
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
To the chief Musician, upon Nehiloth,
A Psalm of David.
1Give ear unto my words, O Lord,
my meditation weigh.
2Hear my loud cry, my King, my God;
for I to thee will pray.
3Lord, thou shalt early hear my voice:
I early will direct
My pray'r to thee; and, looking up,
an answer will expect.
4For thou art not a God that doth
in wickedness delight;
Neither shall evil dwell with thee,
5Nor fools stand in thy sight.
All that ill-doers are thou hat'st;
6Cutt'st off that liars be:
The bloody and deceitful man
abhorred is by thee.
7But I into thy house will come
in thine abundant grace;
And I will worship in thy fear
toward thy holy place.
8Because of those mine enemies,
Lord, in thy righteousness
Do thou me lead; do thou thy way
make straight before my face.
9For in their mouth there is no truth,
their inward part is ill;
Their throat's an open sepulchre,
their tongue doth flatter still.
10O God, destroy them; let them be
by their own counsel quell'd:
Them for their many sins cast out,
for they 'gainst thee rebell'd.
11But let all joy that trust in thee,
and still make shouting noise;
For them thou sav'st; let all that love
thy name in thee rejoice.
12For, Lord, unto the righteous man
thou wilt thy blessing yield:
With favour thou wilt compass him
about, as with a shield.

Psalms 5
5
To the Heavenly Worship Leader upon Nehilot [wind instruments], A Psalm (sacred song about or to God) of David [Beloved].
1Give ear to my words, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], consider my meditation.
2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: for unto youi will I pray.
3My voice shall youi hear in the morning, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate]; in the morning will I direct [my prayer] unto youi, and will look up.
4For youi [are] not a God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] that has pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with youi.
5The foolish shall not stand in youri sight: youi hate all workers of iniquity.
6youi shall destroy them that speak falsehood (deceit; lying): the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7But as for me, I will come [into] youri house in the multitude of youri mercy: [and] in youri fear will I worship toward youri holy temple.
8Lead me, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], in youri righteousness because of mine enemies; make youri way straight before my face.
9For [there is] no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part [is] very wickedness; their throat [is] an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue.
10Destroy youi them, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against youi.
11But let all those that put their trust in youi rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because youi defend them: let them also that love youi name be joyful in youi.
12For youi, Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], will bless the righteous; with favour will youi compass (go around, encircle; encompass) him as [with] a shield.
