Psalms 146

PSALM 146
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1Praise God. The Lord praise, O my soul.
2I'll praise God while I live;
While I have being to my God
in songs I'll praises give.
3Trust not in princes, nor man's son,
in whom there is no stay:
4His breath departs, to's earth he turns;
that day his thoughts decay.
5O happy is that man and blest,
whom Jacob's God doth aid;
Whose hope upon the Lord doth rest,
and on his God is stay'd:
6Who made the earth and heavens high,
who made the swelling deep,
And all that is within the same;
who truth doth ever keep:
7Who righteous judgment executes
for those oppress'd that be,
Who to the hungry giveth food;
God sets the pris'ners free.
8The Lord doth give the blind their sight,
the bowed down doth raise:
The Lord doth dearly love all those
that walk in upright ways.
9The stranger's shield, the widow's stay,
the orphan's help, is he:
But yet by him the wicked's way
turn'd upside down shall be.
10The Lord shall reign for evermore:
thy God, O Sion, he
Reigns to all generations.
Praise to the Lord give ye.

PSALM 146
1 Alleluia. My soul, praise thou the Lord;
2I shall praise the Lord in my life; I shall sing to my God as long as I shall be.
3Do not ye trust in princes; neither in the sons of men, in whom is no health.
4The spirit of him shall go out, and he shall turn again into his earth; in that day all the thoughts of them shall perish.
5He is blessed, of whom the God of Jacob is his helper; his hope is in his Lord God,
6that made heaven, and earth; the sea, and all things that be in those [or them]. Which keepeth truth into the world,
7 he maketh doom to them that suffer wrong; he giveth meat to them that be hungry. The Lord unbindeth fettered men;
8the Lord lighteneth blind men. The Lord raiseth men hurled or hurtled down; the Lord loveth just men.
9The Lord keepeth comelings; he shall take up a motherless child, and a widow; and he shall destroy the ways of sinners.
10The Lord shall reign into the worlds; Zion, thy God shall reign in generation and into generation.
