Psalms 131
131
PSALM 131
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
A Song of degrees of David.
1My heart not haughty is, O Lord,
mine eyes not lofty be;
Nor do I deal in matters great,
or things too high for me.
2I surely have myself behav'd
with quiet sp'rit and mild,
As child of mother wean'd: my soul
is like a weaned child.
3Upon the Lord let all the hope
of Israel rely,
Ev'n from the time that present is
unto eternity.

Tehillim (Psalms) 131
131
1O יהוה, my heart has not been proud, Nor have my eyes been haughty. Neither have I concerned myself with great matters, Nor with those too wondrous for me.
2Have I not calmed, and kept my being silent, Like one weaned by its mother? My being is like one weaned.
3O Yisra’ĕl, wait for יהוה, Now and forever.
