Psalms 131
131
PSALM 131
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
A Song of degrees of David.
1My heart not haughty is, O Lord,
mine eyes not lofty be;
Nor do I deal in matters great,
or things too high for me.
2I surely have myself behav'd
with quiet sp'rit and mild,
As child of mother wean'd: my soul
is like a weaned child.
3Upon the Lord let all the hope
of Israel rely,
Ev'n from the time that present is
unto eternity.

Psalms 131
131
1A song of degrees or Psalme of David. Lord, mine heart is not hautie, neither are mine eyes loftie, neither haue I walked in great matters and hid from me. 2Surely I haue behaued my selfe, like one wained from his mother, and kept silence: I am in my selfe as one that is wained. 3Let Israel waite on the Lord from hencefoorth and for euer.
