Psalms 130

PSALM 130
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1Lord, from the depths to thee I cry'd.
2My voice, Lord, do thou hear:
Unto my supplication's voice
give an attentive ear.
3Lord, who shall stand, if thou, O Lord,
should'st mark iniquity?
4But yet with thee forgiveness is,
that fear'd thou mayest be.
5I wait for God, my soul doth wait,
my hope is in his word.
6More than they that for morning watch,
my soul waits for the Lord;
I say, more than they that do watch
the morning light to see.
7Let Israel hope in the Lord,
for with him mercies be;
And plenteous redemption
is ever found with him.
8And from all his iniquities
he Isr'el shall redeem.

Tehillim (Psalms) 130
130
1Out of the depths I have cried to You, O יהוה.
2O יהוה, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my prayers.
3O Yah, if You should watch crookednesses, O יהוה, who would stand?
4But with You there is forgiveness, That You might be feared.
5I looked to יהוה, My being has looked, And for His word I have waited.
6My being looks to יהוה More than those watching for morning, watching for morning.
7O Yisra’ĕl, wait for יהוה; For with יהוה there is loving-commitment. And with Him is much redemption,
8For He shall redeem Yisra’ĕl From all his crookednesses.
