Psalms 130

PSALM 130
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
1Lord, from the depths to thee I cry'd.
2My voice, Lord, do thou hear:
Unto my supplication's voice
give an attentive ear.
3Lord, who shall stand, if thou, O Lord,
should'st mark iniquity?
4But yet with thee forgiveness is,
that fear'd thou mayest be.
5I wait for God, my soul doth wait,
my hope is in his word.
6More than they that for morning watch,
my soul waits for the Lord;
I say, more than they that do watch
the morning light to see.
7Let Israel hope in the Lord,
for with him mercies be;
And plenteous redemption
is ever found with him.
8And from all his iniquities
he Isr'el shall redeem.

Psalm 130
A Song of degrees.
1¶ Out of the depths I cry unto thee, O Lord.
2Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If thou, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall endure?
4Therefore there is forgiveness close to thee, that thou may be feared.
5¶ I have waited for the Lord, my soul has waited, and for his word I have waited.
6My soul has waited for the Lord more than those that watch for the morning: I say, more than those that watch for the morning.
7Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is mercy and plenteous redemption close to him.
8And he shall ransom Israel from all his sins.
