Psalms 101
101
PSALM 101
Common Meter: 8,6,8,6
A Psalm of David.
1I mercy will and judgment sing,
Lord, I will sing to thee.
2With wisdom in a perfect way
shall my behaviour be.
O when, in kindness unto me,
wilt thou be pleas'd to come?
I with a perfect heart will walk
within my house at home.
3I will endure no wicked thing
before mine eyes to be:
I hate their work that turn aside,
it shall not cleave to me.
4A stubborn and a froward heart
depart quite from me shall;
A person giv'n to wickedness
I will not know at all.
5I'll cut him off that slandereth
his neighbour privily:
The haughty heart I will not bear,
nor him that looketh high.
6Upon the faithful of the land
mine eyes shall be, that they
May dwell with me: he shall me serve
that walks in perfect way.
7Who of deceit a worker is
in my house shall not dwell;
And in my presence shall he not
remain that lies doth tell.
8Yea, all the wicked of the land
early destroy will I;
All from God's city to cut off
that work iniquity.

PSALM 101
1 The psalm of David. Lord, I shall sing to thee; mercy and doom. I shall sing,
2and I shall understand in a way without wem; when thou shalt come to me. I went perfectly in the inno-cence of mine heart; in the middle of mine house.
3I setted not forth before mine eyes an unjust thing; I hated them that made trespassings.
4A shrewd heart cleaved not to me; I knew not a wicked man bowing away from me.
5I pursued him that backbited privily his neighbour. With the proud eye and an heart unable to be filled; I ate not with this.
6Mine eyes were to the faithful men of earth, that they sit with me; he that went in a way without wem, ministered [or served] to me.
7He that doeth pride, shall not dwell in the middle of mine house; he that speaketh wicked things, served not in the sight of mine eyes.
8In the morrowtide I killed all the sinners of earth; that I should lose from the city of the Lord all men working wickedness.
