Yeshayah 32
32
1See, a Melech shall reign in tzedek, and sarim shall rule in mishpat (justice).
2And an ish shall be as a sheltering hiding place from the ruach (wind), and a seter (refuge) from the tempest; as streams of mayim in a dry place, as the tzel (shadow) of a great rock in a weary land.
3And the eynayim of them that see shall no longer be closed, and the oznayim of them that hear shall pay heed.
4The levav also of the rash shall understand da'as, and the lashon of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5The naval (foolish person) shall be no more called noble, nor the scoundrel said to be honorable.
6For the naval will speak foolishness, and his lev will work evil, to practise khonef (hypocrisy), and to utter to'ah (error, perversity) against Hashem, to leave unsatisfied the nefesh of the ra'av (hungry), and he will cause the drink of the tzameh (thirsty) to fail.
7The schemes also of the schemer are ra'im (evil ones); he deviseth zimmot (wicked schemes) to destroy the poor with words of sheker, even when the evyon (needy) speaketh mishpat (justly).
8But the noble maketh plans that are noble; and by noble things shall he stand.
9Rise up, ye nashim that are complacently at ease; hear my voice, ye banot at ease; give ozen unto my speech.
10Days and a shanah, then shall ye tremble, ye careless nashim; for the grape harvest shall fail, the harvest of fruit shall not come.
11Tremble, ye nashim that are complacently at ease; shake, ye complacent ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.
12They shall mournfully beat upon their breasts, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful gefen (vine).
13Upon the admat Ami (land of My People) shall come up kotz (thorns) and briers; indeed, upon all the batim (houses) of joy in the city of merriment;
14Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the Ir shall be abandoned; the citadel and stronghold shall be ruins ad olam, a delight of wild donkeys, a pasture of adarim (flocks);
15Until the Ruach#32:15 Hakodesh be poured upon us from on high, and the midbar become a carmel (fruitful field), and the carmel become a ya'ar (forest).
16Then mishpat shall dwell in the midbar, and tzedakah live in the carmel.
17And the ma'aseh (work) of tzedakah (righteousness) shall be shalom; and the effect of tzedakah quietness and assurance ad olam (forever).
18And my people shall dwell in a naveh shalom (a habitation of peace) and in secure mishkenot (dwellings), and in quiet menuchot (resting places);
19When it shall hail, coming down on the ya'ar (forest); and the Ir shall be utterly brought down in a low place.#32:19 of humiliation
20Blessed are ye that sow beside all mayim, that send forth there the regel of the shor (ox) and the chamor (donkey).

Isaiah 32
32
The Glorious Future
1Behold, a #The Messianic age is again in view (Is 9:7; 11:4; 16:5; 33:17).King will reign in righteousness,
And princes will rule with justice.
2Each [one of them] will be like a hiding place from the wind
And a shelter from the storm,
Like streams of water in a dry land,
Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched and weary land [to those who turn to them].
3Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded,
And the ears of those who hear will listen attentively.
4The heart (mind) of those who act impulsively will discern the truth,
And the tongue of the stammerers will hurry to speak clearly.
5The fool (the good-for-nothing) will no longer be called noble,
Nor the rogue said to be generous.
6For the fool speaks nonsense,
And his heart (mind) plans wickedness:
To practice ungodliness and to speak error concerning the Lord,
To keep the craving of the hungry unsatisfied
And to deprive the thirsty of drink.
7As for the rogue, his weapons are evil;
He conceives wicked plans
To ruin the poor with lies,
Even when the plea of the needy one is just and right.
8But the noble man conceives noble and magnificent things;
And he stands by what is noble and magnificent.
9Rise up, you women who are carefree,
And hear my voice,
You confident and unsuspecting daughters!
Listen to what I am saying.
10In little more than a year
You will tremble [with anxiety], you unsuspecting and complacent women;
For the vintage has ended,
And the harvest will not come.
11Tremble, you women who are carefree;
Tremble with fear, you complacent ones!
Strip, undress and wear sackcloth on your waist [in grief],
12Beat your breasts [in mourning] for the beautiful fields, for the fruitful vine,
13For the land of my people growing over with thorns and briars—
Yes, [mourn] for all the houses of joy in the joyous city.
14For the palace has been abandoned, the populated city deserted;
The hill [of the city] and the watchtower have become caves [for wild animals] forever,
A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
15Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high,
And the wilderness becomes a fertile field,
And the fertile field is valued as a forest.
16Then justice will dwell in the wilderness,
And righteousness will live in the fertile field.
17And the effect of righteousness will be peace,
And the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever.
18Then my people will live in a peaceful surrounding,
And in secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places.
19But it will hail, when the forest comes down,
And the [capital] city will fall in utter humiliation.
20Blessed (happy, fortunate) are you who cast your seed upon all waters [#This verse is challenging to interpret; the ancient rabbis allegorized it, interpreting the sowing as acts of charity and the waters as the Torah.when the river overflows its banks and irrigates the land],
You who allow the ox and the donkey to roam freely.
