Yeshayah 19
19
1The massa (burden) of Mitzrayim. Hinei, Hashem rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Mitzrayim; and the elilim (idols) of Mitzrayim shall tremble at His presence, and the levav Mitzrayim shall melt within him.
2And I will set the Mitzrayim against the Mitzrayim; and they shall fight every ish against his brother, and every ish against his neighbor; ir against ir, and mamlachah against mamlachah.
3And the ruach Mitzrayim shall be disheartened within him; and I will frustrate the etzah thereof; and they shall consult the elilim (idols, false g-ds), and to the ittim (sorcerers, necromancers), and to the ovot (mediums with familiar spirits), and to the wizards.
4And the Mitzrayim will I give over into the yad adonim kasheh (power of hard taskmasters); and a fierce melech shall rule over them, saith HaAdon Hashem Tzva'os.
5And the mayim shall roll back from the yam, and the Nile shall be parched and dried up.
6And the neharot (streams, canals) shall turn foul; and the moats shall be emptied and dried up; the reeds and rushes shall wither.
7The bare places by the Nile, by the mouth of the Nile, and everything sown by the Nile, shall wither, be blown away, v'einenu (and be no more).
8The dayagim (fishermen) also shall mourn, and all they that cast hooks into the Nile shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the mayim shall languish.
9Moreover they that work in pishtan (flax), and they that weave fine linen, shall be in despair.
10And its foundations shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sachir (wages) shall be agmei nefesh (grieved).
11Surely the sarim of Tzoan are fools, the etzah (advice) of the wise counselors of Pharaoh is become senseless; how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the Ben Chachamim, the Ben Malchei Kedem?
12Where are they? Where are thy chachamim? And let them tell thee now, and let them know what Hashem Tzva'os hath planned against Mitzrayim.
13The sarim of Tzoan are become fools, the sarim of Noph are deceived; they have also led Mitzrayim astray, even they that are the mainstay of the tribes thereof.
14 Hashem hath poured a ruach iv'im (spirit of dizziness) in the midst thereof, causing Mitzrayim to go astray in every ma'aseh thereof, as a shikkor staggereth in his vomit.
15Neither shall there be any ma'aseh for Mitzrayim, which the head or tail, branch or stalk, may do.
16In that day shall Mitzrayim be like nashim; and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the yad Hashem Tzva'os, which He shaketh against it.
17And Admat Yehudah shall be a terror unto Mitzrayim, every one that maketh mention of Yehudah shall be afraid in himself, because of the etzah (plan) of Hashem Tzva'os, which He hath determined against it.
18In that day shall five cities in Eretz Mitzrayim speak the sefat (language) of Kena'an, and swear allegiance to Hashem Tzva'os; one shall be called, Ir HaHeres (The City of the Sun).
19In that day shall there be a mizbe'ach to Hashem in the midst of Eretz Mitzrayim, and a matzevah at the border thereof to Hashem.
20And it shall be for an ot (sign) and for an ed (witness) unto Hashem Tzva'os in Eretz Mitzrayim; for they shall cry out unto Hashem because of the oppressors, and He shall send them a Moshi'a, and a Rav (leader), and he shall save them.
21And Hashem shall make Himself known to Mitzrayim, and Mitzrayim shall know Hashem in that day, and shall worship and make zevach and minchah; indeed, they shall vow a neder unto Hashem, and perform it.
22And Hashem shall strike Mitzrayim; He shall strike and heal it; and they shall make teshuvah even to Hashem, and He shall be entreated of them and shall heal them.
23In that day shall there be a mesillah (highway) out of Mitzrayim to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Mitzrayim, and the Mitzrayim into Assyria, and the Mitzrayim shall worship with the Assyrians.
24In that day shall Yisroel be the third with Mitzrayim and with Assyria, even a brocha in the midst of ha'aretz;
25Whom Hashem Tzva'os shall bless, saying, Baruch Ami Mitzrayim, Ma'aseh Yadai Assyria, and Yisroel Mine nachalah.

Isaiah 19
19
Oracle of Judgment on Egypt
1An oracle of Egypt:
Look! Yahweh is riding on a swift cloud
and is coming to Egypt.
And the idols of Egypt will tremble in front of him,
and the heart of Egypt melts in his inner parts.
2“And I will stir up Egyptians#Literally “Egypt” against Egyptians,#Literally “Egypt”
and each one will fight against his brother
and each one against his neighbor,
city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
3And the spirit of the Egyptians#Literally “Egypt” will be disturbed in his midst,
and I will confuse#Literally “engulf” his plans,#Hebrew “plan”
and they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead,
and the ghosts and the spiritists.
4And I will hand over the Egyptians#Literally “Egypt” into the hand of a hard master,
and a powerful king will rule over them,”
declares#Literally “declaration of” the Lord Yahweh of hosts.
5And the waters will be dried up from the sea,
and the river will be parched and dry.
6And the rivers will become foul-smelling;
the branches of the Nile of Egypt will become little and dry up;
reed and rush will wither.
7Bare places by the Nile will be dried up,
by the edge of the Nile and all the sown land of the Nile;
it will be driven about, and it will be no more.#Literally “there is none of it”
8And the fishers will mourn,
and all of those who cast fishhooks#Hebrew “fishhook” in the Nile will lament,
and those who spread out fishing nets#Hebrew “net” on the surface#Literally “face” of the water will languish.
9And the workers of combed flax will be ashamed,
and those who weave white linen.
10And her weavers will be crushed;
all the hired workers#Literally “workers of wage” will be grieved of heart.
11Surely the princes of Zoan are foolish;
the wise of the counselors of Pharaoh give senseless counsel.
How can you say to Pharaoh,
“I myself am a son of sages,
a descendant#Literally “son” of ancient kings”?
12Where are your sages then?
Now, let them tell you,
and let them know what Yahweh of hosts has planned against Egypt.
13The princes of Zoan have become foolish;
the princes of Memphis are deceived;
the leaders of her tribes have led Egypt astray.
14Yahweh has mixed a spirit of confusion into her midst,
and they have caused Egypt to stagger in all of its doings,
as when a drunkard staggers#Literally “the staggering of a drunkard” in his vomit.
15And there will be nothing for Egypt to do,#Literally “not it will be for Egypt a deed which he can do”
head or tail, palm branch or reed.
The Future Blessing of Egypt, Assyria, and Egypt
16On that day, Egypt will be like women, and will tremble and be afraid before the waving hand of Yahweh of hosts that he is waving against it. 17And the land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt, everyone to whom one mentions it will be afraid in himself because of the plan of Yahweh of hosts that he is planning against him.
18On that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language#Literally “lip” of Canaan and swear an oath to Yahweh of hosts. One will be called “City of the Sun.”
19On that day, there will be an altar for Yahweh in in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a stone pillar for Yahweh at her border. 20And it will be a sign and a witness to Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt; when they cry out to Yahweh because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and a defender,#Literally “contender” and he will deliver them. 21And Yahweh will make himself known to Egypt, and Egypt will know Yahweh on that day, and they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows#Hebrew “vow” to Yahweh, and they will fulfill them. 22And Yahweh will strike Egypt, striking and healing; and they will return to Yahweh, and he will respond to their prayer, and he will heal them.
23On that day, there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and Egypt will worship together with Assyria.
24On that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25whom Yahweh of hosts blessed, saying, “May Egypt my people be blessed, and Assyria, the work of my hands, and my inheritance, Israel.”
