Helpful directions and greetings
1Finally, as to the fund — I have given instructions to the churches in Galatia about this collection, which is to be used by the church at Jerusalem, and I repeat the same instructions to you. 2I do not wish the money to be collected when I come, but begin now, every Sabbath, to put by something as each is able to afford it. 3I want you after that to appoint certain members to travel with the amount collected to Jerusalem. 4If the sum is a large one, I shall accompany this mission myself. 5-7For I intend to be with you shortly. I hope possibly to winter with you, at any rate, if the Lord permit, to be with you for a considerable time, not merely to visit you, en route for somewhere else. And I hope that some of you will accompany me when I leave. I shall come by way of Macedonia. 8At present I remain at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9The door is open here, wide open, and much work is being done, but the opposition is great. 10-11If Timothy comes to you, let him not feel that he is unwelcome, be generous and hospitable, for it is the Lord’s work that both he and I together pursue; and send him again to me with your kind thoughts, for I need him here. 12I have told Apollos again and again to go to you, and to take with him the brethren who usually accompany him; but I have never found him willing, because the opportunity has always been wanting hitherto, but he will come, when he is able. 13Be watchful and alert, stand, — for you can stand, — in the faith alone, without our help; be brave, and master yourselves. 14Then you will have nothing to fear. 15I have a thing to ask you, I beg you to remember the work Stephanas has done, the first of those who came into the faith in Achaia. He and his household have constantly ministered to those who are in the faith. 16They have set themselves to that task and it was a joy to me that they came here. 17-18Listen to them, and be guided by them, I pray you, and by all who work with them. Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus refreshed my spirit and yours too by their presence, which made up for your absence. Remember such workers as these.
19Greetings are sent to you with this from the churches of Asia, from Aquila and his wife, Priscilla, and the church which assembles in their house. 20All the brethren salute you. Salute one another, brethren, with a holy kiss.
21I now sign this letter with my own hand — Paul — and I subscribe these words. 22Let him that loves not the Lord be anathema, MARAN ATHA. 23See, I have written it with my own hand. 24The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you, and my love be with you all in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 16
16
1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia [land of the Galli, Gauls, A Celt], even so do you2f.
2Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God-The Father] has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
3And when I come, whomsoever you2f shall approve by [your] letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].
4And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
5Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia [extended land]: for I do pass through Macedonia [extended land].
6And it may be that I will abide, yes, and winter with you, that you2f may bring me on my journey to wherever I go.
7For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to wait a while with you, if the Lord - Kurios permit.
8But I will wait at Ephesus [permitted] until Pentecost.
9For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and [there are] many adversaries.
10Now if Timothy [honoring God] come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he works the work of the Lord - Kurios, as I also [do].
11Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
12As touching [our] brother Apollos [given by Apollo (etymology uncertain)], I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient (fit; appropriate; proper (one’s own; peculiar; particular)) time.
13Watch you2f, stand fast in the faith, keep on you like men (behave/act as a man should), be strong.
14Let all your things be done with charity.
15I beseech (to call upon; appeal; beg) you, brethren, (you2f know the house of Stephanas [crowned], that it is the firstfruits of Achaia [trouble], and [that] they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
16That you2f submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helps with [us], and labours.
17I am glad of the coming of Stephanas [crowned] and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
18For they have refreshed my Spirit [Ruach] and yours: therefore acknowledge you2f them that are such.
19The churches of Asia [orient] salute you. Aquila [an eagle] and Priscilla [ancient] salute you much in the Lord - Kurios, with the church that is in their house.
20All the brethren greet you. Greet you2f one another with an holy kiss.
21The Greeting of [me] Sha’ul [desired] with my own hand.
22If any man love not the Lord - Kurios [he to whom a person belongs] Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah], let him be a thing set up or laid by in order to be kept Maranatha [our Lord - Kurios comes].
23The grace of our Lord - Kurios [he to whom a person belongs] Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah] [be] with you.
24My love [be] with you all in Moshiach [Messiah] Yeshua [God is Salvation]. Amen. <[The first [Epistle (important or formal letter)] to the Corinthians [satiated] was written from Philippi [lover of horses] by Stephanas [crowned] and Fortunatus and Achaicus and Timothy [honoring God].]>
